Construction management is a way of building in which the works are constructed by a number of different trade (sub) contractors. These trade contractors are contracted to the homeowner or client but managed by a Construction Manager. The Construction Manager, acts as an agent for the client, administering and co-ordinating the works contracts.
This role is generally appointed early in the design process so their experience can be used to improve the build-ability and cost effectiveness through value engineering.
This is a good solution as it removes the Contractors' overhead and the works are managed by a Professional working for you.
