Project Monitoring

As the title would suggest, Project Monitoring involves keeping an eye on the development process usually on behalf of a lending institution with a financial interest in the scheme, or on behalf of the client. The Project Monitor role is to ensure that the project is running on track and that the building is being constructed in accordance with the client’s wishes, the planning permission and within Building Regulations. The project monitor will keep an eye on the build programme as well as the costings and advise the client of any potential issues or pitfalls with regard to timings or budget.

The Project Monitor will also see that all necessary statutory obligations are being met by the contractor to include: health & safety; tree protection; observance of planning law and Building Regulation approval.
